Was wondering if a business in St Martin can freely operate in St Maarten?
eg if I set up a business in St Martin can I work with cruise ships berthing in St Maarten?
Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
Brett

"Working the Cruise Ships" It depends upon where and how you will be working them.

St Martin and St Maarten are two different coutries with two different administration, two different chambers of commerce, two different departement of taxes.
With only few exception (taxi, Busses...) a company registered on one side cannot operate on the otherside. So to answer your question : "no"

But it does happen all of the time, more often French companies doing business on the Dutch side.

yes it does happen all the time, but that fact doesn't make it legal, and legally the answer is "no". Which is why some "honest" French people operating a company on the French side, created a sister company on the Dutch side to be able to operate .
