mikentara,
Thanks. I liked them too but wasn't sure about the beach. We do plan on renting a car for at least half of the week. We love to walk the beach. We prefer to rent a place where you are close enough to a few things within walking distance, such as grocery store, beach bars and a restaurant or two. Is Nettle Bay in a good location?

Which beaches are the best? I know Orient is one of them. If you were to rent a condo or studio or whatever, which beach would you prefer the condo to be on?

Nettle Bay is a good location.
The view is great.
The beach is narrow and not so great, but we enjoy going to other beaches.
For the price, you can go wrong.
Rouge Beach is very close.
There is a small grocery store nearby(very expensive)
Our favorite beaches are Pinel and Mullet.
We usually do at least one day at Orient.
Anse Marcel is a pretty cove with a lovely beach.

Thanks for this information! Which grocery store would be cheaper that is not too far from Nettle Bay. So far, Nettle Bay gets our vote but I guess that could change. I do like the location though.

Are their lounge chairs and umbrellas at all of these beaches?

Yes, these beaches have chairs & umbrellas and beach bar/restaurants.
US Supermarche is just down the road toward Marigot, over the Bridge.
We ususally go to the Grande Marche on Union Rd. Cole Bay. You must dirve through downtown Marigot to get there. Not far but the traffic can be bad at times through town.
There are some restaurants near Nettle Bay also. Laylas, Ma Ti, Le Ti Sucriere, and maybe a pizza place. But you are a very shourt dirve to Maho, Marigot.
And if you are a beach glass collector...there's plenty on the beach at Nettle.

We have a lovely condo right on the sands of Simpson Bay that you may be interested in renting. 2 bedrooms/2 bath directly on the beach. Close to restaurants/bars. Please PM me for details.

It's not open as a resort any longer. But the units are privately owned and you can rent from an owner.
