Orient Beach Nightlife

We're on the final countdown to our first visit and are looking for fresh ideas....

What do the young at heart crowd do for nighly entertainment on Orient Beach? I understand we shouldn't walk home at night but... we plan on still having fun. Where should two 30something young professionals hang out for two weeks? We arrive on Dec 31 and are staying at the north end of orient beach.

1. what should we expect for NY eve? dress/attire?
2. Any suggestions for NY day?
3. Where do i find Happy HOur postings for the beach bars on orient bay? what time do they usually close?
4. Where is the nightly action on Orient Beach?

Thanks a bunch.. lots of questions as I am anxiously counting down the days!

cheers,smileys with beer

1. How about casual/festive attire? I wear a plastic crown that lights up!
2. New Years Day...beach will be busy! They may have fireworks in Marigot & a street party on the Waterfront that night.
3. Pick up a copy of K-PASA--It usually has the weeks preferred hot spots.
4. Beach bars usually close at the end of the day. Some stay open for special parties. They will post specials and happy hours...just walk down the beach during the day to check it out.
Enjoy! Plenty of activities to keep you busy!
