Is it illegal or not acceptable for Men to wear Thong Baithing Suits?
If you know please respond to both the Dutch and French Sides.

It is not illegal... just wear them on the beach and nowhere else (like Church, supermarket or on the street....
Now being acceptable or not is a whole other debate and will depends on multiple factors...

As Philipe says, bathing suits, of any kind, are meant to be worn on the beach only. So, with that being said, yes, it can be worn on beaches, both French and Dutch. But you will be part of a very very small minority..

Have yet to see a man in a thong that looked good in it-sorry IMHO it is never a pretty sight--that being said I do not think they are outlawed on any beach or pool--even in the states

i AM Laughing as I read this because that was my thought to. The thing I would suggest is you view your surroundings and you will know instinctively if your ok or not. Let good judgment be your guide but if you hear and see a lot of giggling probly your judgement isn't as good as yo think.

I think Jeff Foxworthy put it best..... "You should have to fill out an application if you are planning on wearing a thong"!

Do not listen to those folks...I wear a thong every day I am on Orient Beach...and that is probably 100 days a year.

Sorry Rasta, you may wear one, and good for you, but I have to agree, they are something that look ridiculous on man and women, no one is saying you can't wear it, just that they are goofy! But if it's your thing! Enjoy!

What's all this talk about thongs looking bad on men and women? If one buys the right size and they don't fall off, I see nothing wrong with them. I have even seen a few women buy them to match their toenails. That is kind of cute! Now I can't wear them as they chafe my toes but still, they really don't LOOK bad!
