Saba secedes from the Netherlands Antilles
First course of action is to remove the flag from government buildings and withhold taxes from the central government.

I honestly don't know.
some people have certainly been telling SXM they should do the same, because the new constitutional status keeps getting delayed.
but for Saba to do it is surprising.
They are a little island with more balls than any of the others LOL
the commissioner said this is the only way they could assure that Sabans get the status change they voted for in 2004. He said it is now clear that there will be NO GOING FORWARD of the dismantling of the Neth. Antilles. So Saba is looking out for Saba.

You know it goes without saying that we're all infinitely interested in this and hope for a good outcome.

Sometimes a little posturing can bring about incredible results - not saying good or bad - but for a tiny little island like Saba I would think that's a very scary position for them to take. But it shows they've got balz and perhaps it will get them where they're trying to get to.

We'll look for your up-dates as warranted.
