In all of my research I have not seen anything about being able to rent a surfboard, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Jewels,
It's a long paddle out to the reef where they surf at Le Gallion.

Good morning,

You can rent a surfboard at Gallion, the surfing school is called Windyreef and the people working there are great! When you go out to surf they will take you to the reef with a taxiboat, you will surf aprox. 200 meter offshore I believe. I surfed there 3 times myself and enjoyed it a lot.
I may be smart to give them a call and ask if the weather is any good.
00590690342185 is the number when on the island.

have fun.

Tom
