Hey!

Found this one. It's dedicated to all the aviation EXPERTS, AUTHORITIES and CRITICS who don't believe a 747 ever takes off toward the beach.

Wish I had been there !

Some people say that 747 doesn't ake of toward the beach???? that's weird! LOL... why??
I saw in the past 747 AF , Corsair or KLM taking off many time toward the sun, as for any other plane it all depends on the conditions, I assume...no?
It is a great video though, and I guess if anyone doubt about taking off toward the beach, it will shut some mouths... before they drop! LOL

Kind Regards,
Philippe

that was incredible--according to the date it was just 2 months ago. I guess with the winds being so strong the last couple of months a lot of planes must be taking off "the wrong way"

Great video. I have seen them take off towards the beach now and then, but have never been there to experience it. It only happens when there is no wind. Much safer to take off over the water than towards the mountains when there is no wind. Clem

Denis, I posted several times before our late night experience on a Pan Am 747 from SXM. About 20 yrs ago on New Years eve our Pan Am flight home was overbooked returning to JFK. Pan Am made us wait while they flew in a 747 so everyone could return home that night. The pilot told us he taking off towards the water because of the weight of a fully loaded 747.I'm glad we did! Thanks for the video.
