All I can say is WOW! What an amazing story tinged with such horrid tales and sadness but ending with a connection that certainly was orchestrated from beyond.

Life is not a child's game of follow the Leader. Instead, life is more about finding one's own purpose in life....your life's plan, and then making a positive difference on earth.

How happy and sad all at once Philippe! The memories surging back from those evil days in your country.

Thanks for sharing, as always it's amazing how small our worries, fears and nightmares are in relation to those less fortunate.

Time spent with those we miss and love is precious, go and enjoy the good memories.

Wow what a riveting and compelling story. Made all the more so by the factual accouting of it. Phillipe if ever a book is authored on this subject it would certainly be a compelling read. I do hope Phillipe and his sister are able to renew this friendship after all the years.

OMG- I am so touched by this story. Heart wrenching and painful!
I can't begin to imagine what they went through.
Incredible that you found each other on Facebook!
Yes, you should go back, even though it might be emotional & difficult.
Your friendship will ease the pain and endure.

Thanks for all your comments and appreciations...
You cannot imagine how we feel weird about all that, I don't know how to explain... It was a "lost cause" in our mind, the years passed so fast, and that's like in a fraction we are back in time. So many "burried" memories and feelings, bitterness and confusion, just back to the surface and cleaned up out of the that... finger snap!
Sure, in the "reconnection", there was an orchestration from "beyond"... My sister thought about it immediatly and I can only agree.
It is amazing what life can be made of and/or reserve to anyone... This is one of the reason I never took anything for granted in my life, and sure it changed somehow the person I was supposed to be in the years to come. It explain maybe also, why caractere wise, I am so much a "revolted" person and so emotional about injustices, agressions, "dictation" and abuses of any kind.
Thanks all again, and a special thanks to my Friend Barbara for the link.

Kind Regards,

Philippe, I read your blog a couple of days ago and was so moved by it. It has been on my mind since. Such a beautiful heart felt story of real life.
Please move forward and follow your heart. Go. There is a reason for you to have found them after all these years. It just may help heal and settle the soul for all of you.
Like Kenny, I wish peace and solace to each of you.
With Best regards,
