Barbara,

I was unaware of the valet parking. That changes things. Perhaps will try this trip. Thank you for the information.

Dan and Pam,

Ah, dinner at Antoine's.

Let me see - will it be onion soupe gratinee or escargot or how about one of their delicious caesar salads for starters? And for the entree - rack of lamb or lobster thermidor? - always such a tough decision to make but so many other places do lamb well and no one we've found can duplicate Pierre's thermidor so not much of a contest when push comes to shove. And if you're still with me, how about a freshly prepared grand marnier souffle to finish the meal? Or if they're not too busy perhaps Pierre could be convinced to do his special lemon souffle?

I think I've gained five pounds just thinking about it but does sound okay to you guys?

Soon, very soon but sadly, not quite soon enough - but then it never is.

Respectfully,

pat

Dan, I do hope Pam's mother is doing well and on her way to a quick recovery. The onion soup for lunch was great! I just crushed some strawberries and will be making strawberry ice cream with nice fresh Florida strawberries!

Vicki, I have the mixture for the ice cream in the fridge getting good and cold and then tomorrow I'll put it in the ice cream maker. The berries are so sweet! I got them on sale in Publix...three 16 oz containers for $5.00. I think I'll buy some more and freeze them. I only used two of them and the third one I mixed with a little sugar and balsamic vinegar and I think I'll have a nice strawberry sundae tonight with some homemade vanilla ice cream. And then tomorrow...diet time!
