Restaurant suggestions

Hello All,

Haven't been to SXM since last May & going again this year - Any new restaurants that anyone will suggest? Temptation is our favorite & we do like Valentino's & La Gondola, Rainbow, California, but were hoping for some more moderately priced places - I don't know if Bamboo Bernie's ever opened in Maho, but we used to enjoy that - also, remember Cha Cha in Grand Case & Key Largo on the way to GC? Those were enjoyable too (sorry, slipping down memory lane for a moment) - Anyway, if anyone has some good suggestions, would appreciate it - thank you and have a great day. cool smiley

Hi Marguerite,

First rainbow is gone. Spiga in GC is $1-1 euro the food is very good, Bid Fish, Capt. Oliver, Daniel by the Sea is also great in Oyster Pond. Westin has a great Sunday Brunch. Bristo Criab is in GC too. Hope this helps.

Yes, Bamboo Bernies moved to Maho. Cha Cha is now Blue Martini. Browse DineSXM to see restaurants in different price categories:

Inexpensive / Good Value
Moderately Priced

just returned from sxm and club o...a great time. go to yvettes in orleans for dinner. open every night except monday. great food with great prices. 24.00 for suf and turf is the most expensive. range from $8.00 to $24.00. also pineapple petes is great and marks place. all much much less and just as good as grand case restaurants.

TOPPERS IS EXCELLENT AND JUST ABOUT ACROSS STREET FROM PINEAPPLE PETS WHICH IS GREAT. ALSO COCOMARINA ON ORIENT BEACH IS EXCELLENT. TRY THE TUNA OR SCALLOP AND SHRIMP SALAD OR ESPECIALLY THE MONKFISH

Kendall,
Please stop yelling. And Pineapple Pete's is not "just about across" the street from Toppers. Across the street from Toppers is Lee's and the Boathouse, etc.
Pineapple Pete's is across the street from the casino and the movie theatre.
Cheers

Irina :
get a grip. i was not yelling and i know where pineaple petes is as well as toppers. saying across the street was, i admit, a little off, but is across the street a short distance down from pineapple petes. sorry i was not more accurate like you,but i was just giving general directions. next time i will say it is across the street 120 paces (giant) from pp's.

Kendall,
I have a grip. When you type in all caps that is yelling in cyberspace. Plain and simple.
New visitors to SXM would get confused looking for PP across from Topper's.

Everybody cool off... Kendal AKA Tom2...: very unusual IP address for both: waproxya17.msn.com
and... three different email addresses... (two for Kendall...)
Any explanation to this????

Kind Regards,
Philippe

I prefer French side restaurants with 2 exceptions. Captain Olivers and Halseys.

On the French side: Le Cottage, Ti Bouchon, Le Chanticlair, Loterie Farm and

Spicy.

I could imagine you are are concerned about traveling when you have to rely on cabs all the time. We prefer to experiance the entire island, and not worry about shilling out for a cab everytime we want to go to dinner.
