There are two kinds of fishing on the island Deep Sea and inshore. I prefer to fish inshore. All of the lagoons and the great salt pond around phillipsburg are full of Tarpon. I know you fly guys like Tarpon. The bite at low light hours. There is a lot online about this but yellow is the key color. I fished with a dude named Robbie Cjinte and he wired me into the tarpon from shore. They are a blast.

Good luck,

Dave

Dave,

Thanks so much for the reply. Are the tarpon feeding on mullet in the bays?

Any suggestions on favorite tackle/skiff boat rental shops around Simpson Bay? Any favorite lures for local Tarpon? We stay at Pelican Marina Residencies.
Thanks, Dave

We rent a boat from a place a few doors down from Ric's Cafe, I forgot the name, and do some inshore trolling. We usually catch small tuna and barracuda.
