PELORUS at anchor in Simpson Bay

Hey!

Barbara loves these megayachts and they do hold a fascination as to how the super rich live.

Roman Abramovitch, the Russian financier, has a couple of others including ECSTASEA which has been spotted in SXM over the years. He also was spotted flying in on his Boeing 767 to the Princess over the holiday. I'll add the pic when I get it processed.

PELORUS is 115 meters or a little over 377 feet. It has a crew of over 40 on board as well as security folks for Roman. The ship cruises at about 14-16 knots.

If you look at the quarterdeck you will see a group being entertained. Unfortunately neither Barb or myself got invited again this year even though we offered to bring ribs, coleslaw. chili and a 24 of HEINEKEN.

What a beauty !!

When I don't get invited I take immediate action and I don't supply the booze.

Hey Sea !

Leave this one alone...it would be sacreligious to alter the most beautiful colour scheme in the world !

This is BANDIT, my personal favourite in the biz jet category. Owned by the illustrious and highly successful Roman Abramovitch, this is one of the few Boeing 767's privately owned.

Seen on the tarmac waiting to line up for a rwy 10 launch in 2007.

I think the fact that the plane has no logo lends real eye appeal. Like a car chop with a cool paint job.

I wonder if Roman has problems getting a date?>grinning smiley<

Hey Barb !

WIKI him.

My admiration stems from the fact that he really knows how to spend money.....

He has a neat little yacht called Sussurro...161ft..and cruises at 40 knots!
