Do brothels sell merchandise?

Just wondering if anyone knew if the brothels sold any brand name merchandise. Foe example, shirts, mugs, pic frames. These could make some good gag gifts. Thanks

Hey Barb!

They interviewed me for a job to provide counselling one time. Seems the gals were running out of new ideas. I turned it down; would have cut into my plane pic time.grinning smiley

Hey Melissa!

Yes, there are a number of brothels. The most noteworthy is the Seaman's Club.

On Curacao and in Aruba you will also find them. The Government has some controls in place to make them safe for the workers and customers.

A friend who is 30ish in Curacao unabashedly explained with his Euro logic that he indeed makes trips to a brothel because in his words; " I have my needs". He's off to the Netherlands for 6 months to find a nice rural girl and get married.

The system must work because you don't hear of too many problems associated with it although in the past some of the workers have been mistreated by the owners.

It ain't the States.....

Melissa, many, many years ago when I was marketing hotels and resorts in the Caribbean, I tried to get some new accounts so, since I was in SXM I decided to 'cold call' some smaller hotels. My bible was the telephone book. Amazingly, the Seaman's Club was listed. After making my appointments with the other hotels I called the S.C. I received a very strange reaction to my, "Hello, my name is.....blah,blah!" But, I managed to make an appointment.
I never made it inside. Just the outside told me this truly wasn't a hotel but something else.confused smiley Perhaps it was the trucks outside or the men coming out from the building.....or the small sign. Whatever it was I didn't try to get that account! Now when I look back I laugh at the experience. I really should have gone in and checked the place out!grinning smiley If I was with someone I would have but being alone......winking smiley True story!

BTW.....I have another true story but I'll save it for another day!
