Divi Little Bay

We will be returning to Divi in May. Does anyone have any current pictures of the resort status since Hurricane Omar? Divi says repairs will be completed by March. At the rate repairs are usually made do they mean March 2010? We love the island so we hope we do not have to change our plans. Thanks, Maureen

Maureen, I received this in an email from Divi a few weeks ago. We will be there next week, Mike

“The Divi Little Bay Beach Resort has temporarily closed the Seabreeze restaurant and pool thru December 2008 to repair the storm damage. Toucan’s Restaurant easily fills the demand, and continues to be open serving 3 meals daily with weekly themed buffets. All hotel units, some ground floor suites, and the Indulgence by the Sea Spa will be closed thru March 2009. The casita area swimming pool remains open for guests. Also, there is limited beach access with over 100 chairs and umbrellas available on a first come, first serve basis.”

My parents are there right now and called me yesterday. The Seabreeze pool is closed, but the beach in past the lobby is open. The Atlantis Casino changed a bit.....no longer giving out the $10 a day free play after 7pm. Most of their slots changed, too. I am leaving to go down on Dec 6 - can't wait!
