Molloy Travel- THANK YOU!!!!

Our vacation group arrives on St. Martin Nov. 8th and this would not be possible without the help of Sandy Molloy at Molloy Travel. Here is her website: www.stmartin-stmaartentravelspecialists.com
I will make a very long story short, but I came to TTOL to ask if a Villa is rented and uninhabitable by a hurricane, should our group receive a refund to find another place. I received a lot of great feedback, but Sandy jumped into action for our group. We e-mailed some information back and forth and I explained the owner had not said if he would, or would not, send back our money, but he also would not answer the direct question. He only asked me questions and how much money travel insurance would cover. We did not have the insurance, nor would it cover it, so we were at the mercy of this owner to return our money. I told him we could not afford to pay for this vacation twice and without the return of our money, or a place to stay, we were not going to be able to make our trip. This was just two + weeks ago and time was running out.

I mentioned to Sandy we almost rented at Royal Palm and I saw she had it for rent on her site. She took over from this point. She reserved the Royal Palm for us and sent the Villa owner an e-mail representing our group and wanted an answer on the return of our money. She then located him on the island and left him a message to call her back. A few hours later, Sandy sent us a note that she had gotten a promise for our money to be sent back on November 4th.

Needless to say, we have been very upset and do not understand the lack of communication from the Villa owner. We paid our money in good faith and even early, so we still do not understand what the issue was for not returning our money. To this day, he has not been in communication with us even after receiving our e-mails almost begging for why this money would not be returned.

Today I came home from work to find my check…not explanation, but at least our money back to pay for our vacation.

We have never met Sandy and asked why she would do this for total strangers?? She has been a huge help to us and saved our vacation to the island.

If anyone has travel needs to St. Martin, I would go to Sandy in a heartbeat…and no one else. We can not THANK her enough.

We will toast Sandy when we arrive at the Royal Palm on Saturday night.

The Group from Fort Dodge, Iowa…..

Hey bob 2..............I am the travel agent being referenced on the post and what the poster meant to say the check was overnighted on the 3rd for arrival on the 4th and it indeed was there.

Hi Bob2:

If you only knew how much this was NOT an ad or joke...lot's of stress over our missing $2400....

Sorry I didn't explain better... she told me we were to have our check on Nov. 4 and that is when it arrived. We were told that about a week in advance.

And, unfortunetly, I am not a travel agent... that would be fun, but I do love my job at State Farm!

About St. Martin... second trip in three years and stayed at Ocean Club the first time that a group of friends stay at each year. It was a great time and we explored Marigot and Anguilla. I am a bit nervous this time with the bug situation, but my deet is packed. So, we look forward to exploring more of the island and just having some fun.

This was wonderful news to hear and so glad that someone like Sandy Malloy stepped up to the plate to help you.

During the trying times of residents and travelers alike, I have seen the armchair quarterbacks who sit back and watch when the going gets rough and then there are those that step up and offer a helping hand, whether it helps them in the end or not. Those are the people to respect and not the people who are quicker with their words than they are with their actions.

And so I would like to offer a big thank you to Sandy for her actions, even if the help was not for me. It just shows a kindness that was above and beyond what we normally see.

Bob2 -

If you only knew Sandy or even just her reputation you would know how absolutely wrong you are.

Sandy is a class act.
