The top photo appears to be a view from the sea towards Cay Bay with Simpson Bay and the lagoon in the center and onward towards the French side.

Just a guess on the second - might be Mullet Bay Beach as a landing strip wind sock is in the background.

I am guessing that the second one is the beach in front of the Royal Islander before the Maho hotel was built. It looks like it was taken from just before the current gazebo's location on the land that juts out. I believe there was a similar gazebo in this particular location but was wiped out during one of the hurricanes.

I'm guessing looking down at the oil refinerys from the lookout on top of the hill - not sure the beach, Cay Bay?? and the second is either Maho or Mullet, before Mullet was even built????? Or during construction.

Good guess I see the wind sock too now that you mentioned it. Its probably the beach where the Boat bar is located down to where the Maho is.I recognize the sand stone hills by the curved road across the street. Its the beach area that the hotels use now, right?

Actually, the name of the Bay where the raffineries are is not Cay Bay but Cole Bay. Cay Bay is what is called now by a develloper "Indigo Bay".
So the first one is a aerial view of Cole Bay, and the second one is Maho Beach, since you can see the Airport runway in the background like Vicky said before the Royal Islander was built.
Wow, those are oldies!....

Kind Regards,
Philippe

My guess is 60's to early 70's.At first I thought the tanks were in Point Blanche. The area behind the tanks looks similar to before the Oyster Pond Hotel was built by Dawn Beach.

IDK - The cole bay one definately, but I'm not sure about Maho. Unless there was beach where the current Royal Islander is. While I see the wind sock, the runway looks to go in the other direction. I'm gonna stick with Mullet, from the rocks up where building 90 once was!!! Where is Miss B today?????

the first one is definitely a view over cole bay to simpson bay lagoon. and the second one is the beach where Maho and RI are now.. it is what is looked like when Maho was the Concord Hotel.

let's try 2 more LOL
here we go.

this second one I am not sure of myself. the caption only says "in the hills"

The first picture is definitly Grand case!
and for the second picture I have two guesses:
First guess about the second picture is that it was taken from Pea tree hill, turning the back to Anse Marcel, and looking toward Orient bay. You can see the Gravel extraction quarry of Francois Petit on the Center Right...
But my second guess on the second picture is that it is a far picture of dawn Beach from Oyster Pond Hill, as you can see the "late" little pond which was filled up by the westin developper...
But oh boy! those two are even older than the two first one... Barbara are you digging them out of Dee's Grand Ma photos album or what? LOL

Kind Regards,
Philippe
