definitly go with caribserve!!! the best chump account on the island, about Roy is not the buyer anymore (even admitting he is still the managing administrator with his above French partner) they awash a brace of ages ago to UTS, but the account still the top!

Hi everyone,

Since I'm moving to Terres Basses soon and will have to change from Telnet to Caribserve I was curious to see what speed you get with caribserve.

I have the plan for 1Mb download with Telnet

Please follow those steps to compare with my result:
1- visit : [www.speedtest.net]
2- Click on the button in the middle "Start test to recommended server - curaco"

My result are 0.86Mb/s for dowload [www.speedtest.net]

Let me know thank you.
Yannick

spinning smiley sticking its tongue outHi guys here is my 10 cents, I lived in Ebenezer for about a year and i had telnet 1 MB + house phone all for$75 dollars a month, the only time i did not have Internet was when electricity went out. spinning smiley sticking its tongue out i did multiple speed tests and was mostly around 0.8 -0.98 MB. for me the at the time it was the best price for the best service.. the other were too expensive. But i guess like most persons commented it has a lot to do with location. I would say ask your neighbours what they use and see which works best.

Here at the office and using your link, I'm getting 3.44Mb/s download with Telnet. That's while streaming audio and middle of the day. smiling smiley Upload is quite a different story: .38Mb/s thumbs down

Off the top of my mind, that's about $150/mo and includes a fixed ip address.

I have Caribserve - and a very clear line of sight to the tower and pay for the highest speed (without fixed IP) and am getting terrible levels - last test with speedtest was : ping 24ms - Download 0.72mb/s - upload 0.24mb/s - and that was one of the better tests - far from their supposed delivery levels!
