that she was robbed at gunpoint, this afternoon just a few hours ago at her dentist's office in Cay Hill.
Police were called, they took a report and told B that they are overwhelmed and cannot keep up.
She is fine, no one was harmed.
2 perps, SXM fellas, one machete and one guy. Faces covered.
That is all the information I have.

OMG! This is just horrible! Again, it is thankful that she's OK but I am sure all shook up at this point. And unless one is subject to this sort of crime, one would never really know the feeling. Barbara...glad you're OK and thanks Irina for posting this.

Barbara, I'm sorry to read what happened to you.I'm glad you weren't harmed by those lowlifes.The GOV's can nolonger say the crime problem is caused by out islanders as they used to, remember.SXM is under a crime wave and I'm afraid it will hit all of us in one way or another in time.The GOV'S just don't seem to get it and it appears to tourists they don't care.We all know crime will ruin tourism for yrs to come. I couldn't beleive my eyes when I read the PM she sent me!!! It is totally crazy ! at 1pm in bright day light at a dentist office neitherless! Of course where you expect it the least!

Rastaman, on SXM, only the criminals are armed. This will be a very tough fight. Barbara, I do hope you are ok.

I believe you were the sympathetic woman who responded privately to me that I have our local doctor check my husband and son for dengue, after my gunpoint robbery post in April. They did indeed have that disease, and it was your heads-up, and my research on the CDC site, that allowed me to point the ER docs in the right direction. And to think you faced not only a gun, but a machete. God love you. My heartfelt sympathy to you and those who were forced to face the worst of our world...I have found that caring friends and family are the fastest way to return your body and mind to peace. I add my own energy to theirs...

Barbara.......be well and than God you are all right. Something has to be done about this madness going on. It's a small island and needs a lot more police presence. Does anyone know if they are they SXMers or immigre? I would hate to think a local would do this to their beautiful island.
