Hey!

Still alive in New Brunswick...terrible weather andbaby sitting my sidekick grandson of 8. He gets bored easy in the rain.

Haven't talked to John in a few weeks. Back taxes from previous owners were an ongoing issue. Staff of 32 hard to manage on a webcam. Landlord not happy with his improvements. I really don't know how he handled the pressure with a lot going against him..

I have no idea about the future. John is creative, rich and settled down. He's also a proud father and doing well at that part of his life. I feel the razzzmattazz of SSBB is getting old for him.

There has always been an envy factor from many Island business folks in high places.

More than a few would do anything to get Manek's lease, so this opens a BIG door to those with the power to make things happen due to their political clout....watch what unfolds...it will be interesting!

Will let you know anything relevant and factual after the end of the month.

Denis... It was exactly my thought when I posted about the "wellknown local business man" in the other SSBB's thread... It's really too bad and I am that sure the former owners who didn't paid the taxes are enjoying their "sales" money somewhere around the world. Somehow they screwed him pretty well... But, like you said if he is creative wealthy and not disgusted yet with doing business (should I say "investing"...) in Caribbean (should I say "St Maarten") maybe he will continue the SSBB adveture somewhere else.
