Not again! I remember seeing the fire a few years ago on our way toward Philipsburg and the smoke just billowed out. I thought at first that something in Philipsburg had caught fire. So sorry to hear this as you MUST be affected constantly. Is this done purposely or does something just catch fire and set everything up?

it's not done purposely. Something just catches fire, I think.

Barbara, I really feel for you! I can remember last November when I was staying at the Villas on Great Bay with my kids and the dump was on fire. Oh boy...was that smoke and smell horrible. It was so sickening you could not sit outside at the pool at all. I'm going to go over and sign the petition.

Before I even read that article, what I commented in the "comments" section of the petition was, not only the breathing issue for those afflicted with breathing problems but the horrible thought of these toxic fumes created from these fires which is a constant and very serious health concern to all living beings on the island.

Maybe, with a little luck the winds, will blow the fumes into the new government building. Perhaps then some of the "Proper channels" will get moving.

Where have all the dogs gone?

Last year there were over 2,000 stray dogs living at the dump.

With the constant fires i wonder where all the dogs have gone to.

There was a rumor that all the dump dogs would be destroyed... sure hope this is not the way they went about it!
