I CAN Home Taking shape! You can still donate!

There was an article in TDH today about the I CAN Home and the building.
I scanned the article and the picture. I know it is hard to read the text. If you save the picture and then use your photo editor to zoom in, you can read the story.
Basically it said construction is moving along although more funds are needed to complete the building.
Mrs. Gibbs says with the new school year approaching, anyone who wants to help get the children school supplies and uniforms is encouraged to do so.
I guess Michael might still working on a fund raising for them. It's not too late to help out.

Thanks for the post Barbara. They ARE making great strides considering there was nothing when I viewed the site in late May. Let's hope they aren't held-up by a lack of funds.

I hope not, Norm
they have to deal with a lot of government bureaucracy.. I would imagine Mrs. Gibbs is an expert at that by now.

I just spoke to Debbie Gibbs and she did receive the books, games, DVD's. She was thrilled with them and said the kids thought it was Christmas all over again.
She was off island and she told the secretary to send a thank you note, which apparently wasn't done
She said to tell you that she is so sorry and, as always, she is so grateful for all the help.

so let's continue the good works that Michael has started and buy some hats!

Excellent. I am so glad it arrived. It was fun shopping for kids, since I am kidless.

Now everyone has to open up their hearts and donate 50.00 for a Nova Scotia Tartan Baseball Hat.
