The Fort near Marigot would be too easy. It is maybe that Fort near Little Bay. I think it is called Fort Oranje...

Philippe got it right on PM. I am very impressed! It is indeed on the French Side. It is not Fort Oranje.

Here is a wider perspective and a different angle to make it a little easier...

I thought this one might be tough, except for Philippe and Barbara. If I ever lose anything on the island, I know who I'm asking to find it!smileys with beer

This is the "fort" or building you pass on your right after the entrance to Friars Bay, before St. Louis?

I have no idea where this is but the old saying no matter how much you think you know about something, there is always something new to learn. I can't wait to learn where this is so I visit when we return in August.
Philippe, Barbara, thank you for your beautiful in site to history of St. Maarten.
Regards,
Sylvia

Well, I admit this was a tough one. Although it is viewable from the road, it is on private property.

This is an authentic Irish castle that an American has been building over the past 10 years. There are several ramparts that afford some of the best views of the island that you can imagine.

It is indeed located in Cripple Gate, high on the hill to the left as you approach the road to Friar's Bay from La Savanne.

Here are two more views from the top:

I am still in awe of Philippe and Barbara and how quickly they figured it out. I fear that someone could post a picture of my next door neighbor's house and I wouldn't recognize it right away!smiling bouncing smiley
