Yes, I am... and on the other side of Pointe du Bluff facing Anguilla, you have the ruins of two "watch tower" also circa 18 century. History... and a reminder that those "Damn Britts" where trying to invade anytime LOL!!!

I think that was after the jail... I think you are right, Pointe du Bluff became a leper colony. I have to check when exactly...

The building in the photo was the Leper Colony.
Poor La Belle Creole. 156 Rooms and 8 "staff" apartments, two pools, two restaurants and a beach bar. Sitting since Luis in 1995. Hotel had just been sold by the French Bank which owned it. New owner was WELL insured. Many rumours as to what has happened since. Most rooms have vaulted ceilings and there is an elaborate cistern system under two thirds of the buildings.

Island rumor says that is why that location has never been successful.

I remember those vaulted ceilings and the loud bang they made every few minutes from expanding because of the sun's heat.I had a hard time sleeping and relaxing in those rooms from the noise the ceilings made.
