I remember crab racing.
maybe just us old timers remember it LOL
I remember when they did it at Little Bay.
I always thought it was kind of dumb though but people seemed to love it.

Barbara, Thanks, I agree but thought they were funny. Didn't people bet on their favorite. If they were at Little Bay I guess I remember the races from staying there.I'll bet the odds were better than at the casino. HaHa. Only in SXM......I think we should be called longtimers instead, right.

Philippe, I recall a local guy used to bring them in a box to a beach somewhere.I recall seeing the races advertised somewhere with the date & time of the races, too.I was hoping the races were still around somewhere. thanks.Hope to see you and enjoy the buffet next month.

Beef Wellington and trivia nights was a must at least twice evry trip--remember having to get there really early on trivia nights else you did not get in-really miss that place and him too. Neil we miss you too

I've posted many times about David's and Wed. Trivia night and having his Beef Wellington. Those were the best DAYS on SXM. Another favorite of ours was ZACKERY'S for the best RIBS ever on SXM.When having dinner in Peg Legs Pub I always look for DAVIDs restaurant sign above the door.SXM will never have times similar to the DAYS again.Remember when you could see the water in SB from the road before the new buildings blocked the views. We still can't believe the amount of new buildings & traffic congestion in that area.

Anyone remember the golf bar at Mullet Bay yrs ago.Was it called the 19th hole? During one of our stops there for a drink in the late 80's.We meet someone who lived about 3 miles from us on L.I.He brought with him his own bottles of Vodka because he was afraid SXM wouldn't have his favorite. He paid the bartenders $2.50 a setup to make his drinks. Only on SXM.

could swear I saw the 19th hold there last April--at least the sign--I think where you get the carts (where it was years ago)

During Feb Pres wk 1994 we stayed at the St. Tropez/Palm Ct.Across the main road was a small enclosed area where they offered breakfast. This was before Orient Village was built and the road down from the traffic circle. When we ordered eggs for breakfast the waitress told she would return in about 15 minutes. To our surprise she told us she drove to a hen house for the mornings supply of eggs. Those were the best eggs we ever ate. Only on SXM.
