One oldtimer that comes to mind is LANCEfromNYC,remember him? I believe he worked at Rockefeller Center. Always posted in ALL CAPS? Always enjoyed his posts even if it seemed he was shouting.

I met him in fact. He was such a nice guy.
he invited me so many times to come to Rockefeller Center for the tree lighting.

It has been a while, but the "back in the day" stories were really great. A lot to be learned and some history on how the island has changed, and changed quickly.

Where's Bob1P when you need him? King of back in the day... but I always learned something!

I suggest you read Gerts disclaimer about the intent of GoBeach. And if you don't get it, read it again. Friendly comments - not in your face comments of the nature ten year olds make, dancing emoticons and all.

This is GoBeach - the friendly forum - can we keep it that way for a few days? Regarding anon posting - I don't think there's any rule against it, as long as you do so in a friendly fashion re the forum owners request.
