Yeah we saw that... And as I commented to Barbara, my favorite part of it is :
"The only threads that were deleted were the ones questioning my actions in locking threads. Those were in direct violation of our terms of use policy."

I rolled over the floor when I read that!.. It proved exactly my point that TTOL is runned by ditactorship policies : it is in violation of terms of use policy to critisized or question the actions of the moderator (and I assume the owners..). Must to be a lawyer thing...LOL! By definition then, it is prohibited to express opinion on public forum about how the so-called forum is being monitored and/or managed. That's what we call a "culte of the personality"!... Sounds like a discussion forum from North Korea or from The People's Republic of Benin LOL... Oh boy, Bob! is a confused man... he is mixing up "monitoring" and "censoring", he just said it and he just proved it. At the end, it's their lost though...grinning smiley
Case closed... thumbs up

Kind Regards,
Philippe

Well, i dont htink Bob! is th eonly one with a problem. Ruralcarrier has a chip on his shoulder most of the time too. I really hate when they say, start your own forum or Carol and Eric own the forum and they can do what they want. How childish!

No, I'm not TJM. Just had the run-ins over there with him at he same time.

And I agree, miss his stories. Last I knew, he was living in Florida and had a family, but that's about it.

Vinnie,

With all due respect, you're acting like a real jerk!

TTOL is TTOL and this is GoBeach and I don't know where you've been for the past few years but why try to turn GoBeach into exactly what you don't like about the other?

Most everyone who has migrated here in the past few days knows there were problems and policy disagreements on TTOL. Can't we just accept that it is what it is and get along without name calling and mud slinging? Those who have been here all along might think back and recall that's a big part of what caused the slow down on this board a few years back.

Do we really need to do this all over again? I sincerely hope not.

Respectfully,

pat
:-) :-)

Hey Pat!

As always; the voice of reason...gonna start calling you VOR...

It seems that Barbara wants a peaceful forum, that would not only be refreshing but unusual with so many different personalities posting. I for one hope it works.

Perhaps we can have some fun here.

Denis

Boy stmartinlovers I am surprised that for a smart guy you can be fooled by a woman such as the one you reference. Watch your back she is a big troublemaker. Just see how quickly she & a few others can make this board nasty with lots of back biting, Maybe they have been a little too quick to delete things on the other board but if they didn't people like your woman would be starting fights with anyone who didn't agree with her. If you look in the dictionary under phony you will see her picture.

Every day I check both this site and TTOL. It's nice to see many familiar names posting here and it certainly makes it more interesting. And Barbara, you ARE doing a great job. thumbs up

Well OT, there was a lot of TJM activity over here back in the day as well. And it got pretty ugly too, at least between him and me. But that was back in the day.

I always wanted to know what happened with "that other guy"
But I also wanted to know what happened with old timer.
You were a great contributor to the board in its day.
but if you got distracted with the Jazz fest in New Orleans, well, then I understand.
I wouldn't mind getting distracted with that. smiling smiley

But how about one back in the day story for old time's sake?

Been coming to SXM since I was 15! (A LONG time ago!)
Is this what we are talking about?
