I think more people will be coming over from the other board including myself who has only visited this site occasionally.
I had a PM from Phillipe about what happened and I empathize with him as I have had post removed also.
I honor and respect the opinion of island residents who can bring reality to rumors and who are always ready to assist us visitors.

thanks for posting.
It certainly was an uproar over at TTOL last night. The whole thing started because Bob! closed threads on me twice yesterday. It's happened before but quite frankly I am tired of having it happen.
I was and am still very angry. Philippe was too.
he quit the board and I followed suit.
and then of course all pertinent threads were not just closed but deleted!
I hate to quit but I am tired of the way the threads and post are going over there. I feel..maybe wrongly..that every time I try to defend sxm, the posts are closed.but a lot of inaccurate and flaming posts are allowed to continue.
it's best if I stay away..at least for awhile.
you can always PM me over there or here if you need anything.
I will continue to monitor TTOL board but will not be posting.
you can always post to me over here because I will be here.

Well this is my first post as registered member on this board!... So welcome to myself LOL!
yes Barbara said it all!... What can I add? Just that on the top of "locking" the threads, sometime it is not good enough, so this guy "Bob" just remove the whole thread, like that people cannot read the critics formulated against his methods. I believe he is confusing "moderating" with "censoring" and he should check the difference in a dictionary. So, yes I am done with TTOL, and with everything it can include, I will not post there anymore. I'll keep my account active for a while so I can retrieve the PM that good friends are sending me, but from now, I will post the information I feel to share on this board, legitimately and efficiently monitored by my good friend Barbara (don't even think about shutting me down...LOL).
Some members may switch to this board too, hopefully some of them will remain on TTOL and stick there...
So nobody need to worry... the info will still go out, just from another forum... We didn't left the island, we just left a cyber space.

Both of you have my total respect. You two have continually shared the news about our beloved island in an honest and caring way.
Your perspective is so important as you two live there and really know what's what, who's who, what's working and what's not. Please continue to give your imput to all of us who love St. Maarten- warts and all!!!

I am sorry to hear about your problems with TTOL.
It's an active board with a bunch of good people on it.
I have always enjoyed reading your posts, as well as your blogs.
