Welcome to the new Friendly Island Forum... A new look... a new beginning!

Lots of improved features when you register, like your own 'Control Center', with private messaging, tracking of threads, etc... If you have registered before, no need to re-register, but login here. All user accounts have been retained.

Also new is that there is now gentle moderation. The moderator is a very active member of the forum as well, and happens to live on St.Maarten. Your friendly host is Barbara Cannegieter, aka barbara1.

Enjoy!!!

Gert

PS. You can spice up your messages with Phorum Code. Like posting images, etc. See: [www2.gobeach.com]
PS2. When you post a web page, precede it with "["];, like, [www.gobeach.com], then it will be automatically 'hyperlinked'

This is the most interesting question ever posed about St Martin.
The answer is: The beaches nevr close on the island. All are public (supposed to be..) and open to all at any time day or night! However, as always and anywhere it is necessary to use common sense regarding the time you decide to go to the beach and thus for diverses reasons... per example I would never swim after sunset (or at least once it is dark) because big fish feed at nigh....eye rolling smiley

Kind Regards,
Philippe

Because it was the first piece of land where two nations and two people decided to divide in a peacefull way, without war, and live together in harmony and without border...
