Where is the closest (fairly large) grocery store from the Cupecoy area?

there is no really large supermarket near Cupe Coy, but if you go to the Maho Hotel area, there is a small market there where you can get pretty much anything you want.

The largest markets are Grand Marche..one is near Philipsburg and the other is in Cole Bay on the main road to Marigot.

My wife and I were there last summer and most markets were closed on Sundays so plan ahead.

Cost-U-Less is a Costco style of store including club pack food stuffs. They are open from 9:00AM to 9:00PM Monday to Saturday and from 9:00AM to 3:00PM on Sunday.

Food Express has several locations on the Island including one at La Terrace Hotel in Maho. The Maho location is open from 8:00AM to Midnight everyday. The Ram's in Cole Bay is now a Food Express.

Le Grand Marché is the largest of the Islands Supermarkets and is located on the roundabout on the way to Philipsburg. Their hours of operation are from 8:00AM to 8:00PM Monday to Saturday and from 9:00AM to 2:00PM on Sunday. Le Grand Marche has a wide variety of foods including Dutch, French, Indian, Oriental and Kosher. Their two other stores are Le Grand Marche on the Union Road in Cole Bay near the entrance to Port de Plaisance and Le GOURMET Marche in the old Sambuca/Hot Tomato building in Simpson Bay.

Sang's Super Center is in Philipsburg near Bobby's Marina, its opening hours are from 8:00AM to 9:00PM Monday to Saturday and from 8:30AM to 3:00PM on Sunday.

I always have a hard time finding non-alcoholic beer on the island.
Some bars carry O'Douls and Becks non-alcoholic but does anyone know
where I can purchase any?

Susan,

We had no problem finding Becks NA at the market by LaTerrasse and I believe I may have seen O'Douls in LaGrandMarche. It can be gotten.

And we had just the opposite experience in that we could not find it at any of the bars or restaurants we frequented - one place even suggested, "What you want to drink that for, Mon? People come here to get drunk!" I guess he just didn't get it.

Respectfully,

pat

place on airport rd.and Peglegs. When we are go in May The Holland House always
orders it for me.
Thanks again,
Sue.

Would anyone know if they have Ensure on the island. We stay in Phillipsburg
at the Holland House and usually bring it in ourselves. It would be nice to not have to.

rita,

Pat doesn't know it all by a far cry nor does she profess to, but she does know how to be neither ignorant nor rude. Perhaps you could take notes.

Have a nice day.

Respectfully,

In answer to your question, yes, you can get Ensure on the island.

Rita, your comment re: pat was uncalled for.

Thank you in advance for not posting in that manner any more.
