Silly question .... probably one of the top 3 reasons SXM is a great place to vacay.
Which restaurants did you enjoy most?

Excellent restaurants all over the island! It's one of the main reasons we keep returning. Every trip (once or twice a year) we go to our favorites and always try least two new restaurants!

On the French Side I recommend L'Auberage Gourmand - Grand Case; Le Cottage - Grand Case; & Tabba Khady - Oyster Bay Area.

Everybody has there favorites.

Enjoy!

The ony restaurants we would suggest would be in Grand Case. The others simply are several classes below.

Have you tried restaurants on the Dutch side in the past couple of years?? If not, you might be surprised at the quality restaurants now. Many, many great places to eat all over the island. That is one of the things we love about SXM. No matter where you are staying, you can find excellent meals nearby. IMHO, Grand Case being the best place to eat just isn't true any more.

I think the french side resturants are now over rated, not to mention the American Dollor that is way down... The Dutch side resturants are now great and fairly priced... There really is no need to eat on the French side for great food...Thats a thing of the past... As a matter of fact! Some french side resturants moved to the Dutch side, such as La gondola... If your staying on the Dutch side!!! Eat there, no need to travel, great food...

The Hideaway, which is part of LaVista on the Dutch side, is a hidden treasure. The food is excellent, and the view is just gorgeous. It looks out towards Saba, and if you're there around 6, you can watch the cruise ships go by all lit up.

Yup, what a treat, seeing the cruse ships leaving St.M. The dark skys, and the gorgeous lit ships... We have enjoyed that time and time again.
