bbb closing - barbara1 any info

just saw on ttol that neil has left the island and that bbb has been closed and a tax auction was held-since i know there is sop much speculation and rumours i figured you would be the one to ask-is it true neil has left sxm and the bar closed-if so it is too bad-he is a great man and his bars were also a lot of fun. thanks in advance for the info. oh, also are there any plans for a re-opening by someone else???

yes, he has left the island the bar is closed.
He did tell me before he left that the sale is done and that there are new owners..so let's see what happens from here on out.

I think that happened last week. BBB was open when we arrived on Sunday, and open at least until Tuesday. When we drove by on Wednesday or Thurdsday (last week) it was all closed up.

They are closed for dinner/drinks but are open only for ladies night on wednesday.

Then, he never did sell it, really, if it was seized and auctioned off.

What about The Spinnaker? Same thing?

Spinnaker he was leasing.. someone took over the lease.
BBB was not auctioned off..just the contents

Hi - just read your article re BBB closing. If this the place next to The Atrium? We are going down in 2 weeks would be interested to hear what is happening in that area.
What about the proposed supermarket on the corner - anything happening?

DID THE BBB ACTUALLY REOPEN AND IF SO IS IT GOING TO BE THE SAME TYPE OF CROWD AND ATMOSPHERE? / I JUST LOOKED AT THE OLD BBB WEBSITE AND SAW THAT SOMEONE ENTERED A NEWS UPDATE ON FRI. 10/26 IT SOUNDED LIKE SOMETHING NEIL WOULD SAY / ANYBODY KNOW ANYTHING MORE ABOUT IT??

I understand they have re-opened. However news is the food is not good. Frozen, thin burgers and tasteless pizza. It's a taxing situation for all concerned.
