We are going back to our favorite Island in July. We haven't been there since March, 2006. Any great restaurants that we shouldn't miss?

In my mind the restaurant situation hasn't changed that much since you were last there. The one place that I hear a lot about (I have not yet been there), is Tabba Khaddy. It is on the road to Oyster Pond if I'm correct. Spiga is still wonderful, as are Bistrot Caraibes, Le Auberge Gourmand, and Le Cottage.

Hidden Forest Café at Loterie Farm. Take a drive over during the daytime so you are more comfortable with the drive at night (it's a little hairy). Make a reservation for dinner. It's a beautiful setting and the food is fabulous! Gorgeous tapas/bar area as you walk in, restaurant is in the back - overlooking the forest.

peace smiling smiley

Anon - recent reviews have said those initial issues have been fixed. We hope to try it in June.

I have heard so not so good reviews of the Stone. It's a gimmick joint in my opinion.

And based on your other post, your opinion isn't worth much.

Frankly, as a frequest visitor to the island, my opinion is of great value, just perhaps not to you. I simply just don't go along with the flow and rave about a marginal restaurant. If I want a superior steak, I will leave it up to the chef, so I can relax and not have to finish cooking my meal. Will they leave me a tip if I cook?

Hidden Forest on the other hand is an outstanding choice, as are most of the restaurants in Grand Case area.

We love Tabba Khady (Oyster Pond), and La Gondola (Cupecoy). And we also have always paid a visit to Mark's Place, a long time "must" for us.

Try "Le Moulin Fu". Opened last year. It is behind Cheri's Cafe on the second level in Maho. Very good continental food.

If yo do not make it to Boo BOO Jam to dine and dance with the locals, you aremissing the flavor of the locals! Good food, reasonable prices and great Island music!
I think that they are only open two or three nights
