Running Club Info

Trying to find information on a running club on SXM.......
I see that there is one called the St. Maarten Road Runners Club, does anyone know if they have link to a website somewhere that I can get information on upcoming runs? I may be interested in doing a run on my next trip.

The St. Maarten Running Club can be contacted at TriSport. That is the store by the bridge on the Dutch side of the island. It will have bikes in the window.

The running club has 3 training runs during the week: Wednesday near the Hospital at the sporting venue on the Dutch Side, Friday at Maho around the golf course and the most popular run is Sunday. The Sunday run begins near the Pelican and ends in Marigot, running through the Lowlands. After the Sunday run everyone has a breakfast in Marigot and you will be transported back to the start afterwards.

The running club is a fantastic way to meet local runners and get in some great runs in places you would not normally visit.

If you are lucky there might be a race when you are visiting the island. These are announced ahead of time and are really fun! They will occur in place of the long Sunday run.

The contact information that "laundryus" posted is accurate too so you can e-mail Rose or Dick.
