Mark,

You're basically getting a hotel unit with an efficiency kitchen. It is a decent sized room, but at first glance you might feel disappointed. The first time we stayed at OBBR, we had the efficiency and after a couple days, we were perfectly fine with the room.

You might check upon arrival with Marian about an upgrade. Since it's low season something might open up. It is a beautiful resort with great service. Have fun.

I agree. We also had an efficiency and for two people it is fine. We had a great blacony. I love this resort. We usually go to orient beach and it is a short drive.

Hey there. We are just starting the "timeshare" experience, and are going to be staying in Oyster Bay in February. We have never been to anywhere other than one time to Hawaii, and are looking for tips for the best way to get around, things to see, etc. My spouse doesn't know HOW to relax, and yet we are going to be on a budget. Ideas? Also, I am curious about EXTRA costs when we get to the resort. Thanks, and we are hoping for a great time!

You will need to rent a car. We rent from Unity Car rental ...I think this will be our 5th year. We like to snorkel so we do a day trip to Anguilla ...and at Oyster Bay....there is a 3 island snorkel that Captain Alan. Great 1/2 day trip.
The extra costs are $50 timeshare tax and at Oyster Bay the daily air condition charge. We had an efficency on the 3rd floor and we did not need air conditioning. This year w/have a 2 bedroom with another couple so we probably will have them turn it on....We pack a couple of coolers...we go to the grocery store and load up....we then take our drinks to the beach. We eat breakfast at the timeshare....lots of beach bars that have nice lunch and we usually go out for dinner. You don't have to spend a lot on food...lots of nice places that are reasonable. We also try to do a budget....still have kids in college....
