We are coming down next week to set up a condo we purchased. Does anyone have information regarding household goods prices. Are they comparable to the US or should we purchase towels, sheets, etc, here and bring with us?

You will certainly find the prices higher here, and a much smaller selection.

Ace Department Store in Cole bay has a nice selection of household needs. You can buy everything you need there.It is a very well stocked store.
Elaine is right though... The prices are higher and while there is a good selection, there is not as much a selection as you would find in the USA.

I'm on the island right now - enjoying an Easter bottle of Charles Heidseick bubbly bought at a grocery store yesterday at greatly reduced prices compared to home - and loving every bit of St.Martin/Sint Maarten time. Church was lovely this morning and weather sunny and cloudy, but no rain yet !

I do not agree that the meats in St. Maarten are fine. There is limited selection, it's very expensive and the quality isn't nearly as good as in New England. We are freezing and packing our own meats this year. I think it's well worth it!!!!
