i am arriving in sxm next sunday and even though i have been there several times, have not ever arrived on a sunday. i am wondering if the grande Mache supermarket (I think that is the name), the one beside marks place, is open sunday and if so what are the hours. thanx
Since the grande marche closes at 2pm sunday, are there any places to buy liquor on sunday on the way to orient beach via philipsburg.
also what are the hours for the grande marche super market? thanks.

that is quite a long list. If you look at the last post on page 2 there is a list I posted a few weeks back. Look at the item and then the first price is the US$ price for that product at Grande Marche - it has many of the items on your list.

Obviously your son is not looking around much. I have recently moved to St Martin after 16 months in the USA. Whilst grocery prices are unquestionably more than the US, I have found that particularly on the Dutch side it is almost cheaper to eat out than grocery shop. The prices you are talking about do seem high, but there are so many places that offer amazing value for money on the Dutch side, I would advise your son to look around a little more.
Diane, with all due respect, I have to ask where your son has been hanging out.
there are many mnay places to get good food that don't even come close to those prices.
Planning on stopping for groceries in Marigot on way from airport to Orient Beach. We have heard how unsafe it is to leave anything in the car. Is there immediate parking at the grocery store and is it safe to leave luggage in the car at the grocery store?
