How did you get the shot? Where was the picture taken (from what vantage point)? Gorgeous!

Ed does this a lot.

By 'error of omission' he is trying to claim credit for something he shouldn't.

The site hosting the picture is Bob Green's Anguilla News, and the proper thing to do would have been to give such credit with the original post.

See: [news.ai]

And for additional pictures, see: [www.news.ai]

No one important/
we know that you seem to be hung up about it but who else really cares who took the pic. The fact is its a great shot and its the sharing that matters. Your post reads like one more attempt to create issues around here. Why bother?

It is extremely inappropriate to post a photo, especially in the manner it was done, and to not give credit as to the source or photographer. By not identifying where the photo came from, it implies that the poster is the photographer.

It's the TTOL ninnies again lol!

Rick, yes you're right, that's the point.

If someone doesn't specifically say they took the picture, it's assumed they didn't.

Posting pictures of interest from web sites is the rule, not the exception.

It's obviously silly to research who the actual reporter/photographer happens to be and then post it with the picture

They're nit picking trouble makers. I enjoy watching them go into these jealous tizzy fits lol!

It would have been most appropriate to simply include something like: "great photo from the Anguilla News - [news.ai"]; thereby meeting social and legal requirements for the use of another’s work. It is also understood that sometimes this gracious granting of credit is overlooked, especially on free-flowing forums such as this, where the usage is usually not for commercial gain. The poster did not claim the photo as his own, therefore this was likely just an oversight on his part.

I doubt it. Ed reads this board ALL the time. The question was asked by "Be Careful" last night regarding where he took the picture from. No answer. Hmm, now we know why.
