Holiday visit

After visiting SXM on cruises for years, we stayed for a week this April. Great time, so we are coming back over New Years, staying at Mt. Vernon. Are there any things to be aware of for the Holidays, like restaurants or shops closed? I assume sunny, sandy beaches will be there, so I am good no matter what!

tHE ONLY things you want to remember is to make reservations for your rental car and restraunts early, if your looking for New Years Eve dinner. Hope you were able to get good air since the prices have been off the wall if your stuck on weekend holiday dates. There will probly be fireworks on New Years Eve in Philipsburg and probly on Orient to so you should take that into consideration when you choose your location for the big night.
