Travel to SXM and Antigua

My husband and I have been going to SXM for many years. For next year we are looking into spending one week on SXM and one week on Antigua. Regarding our air travel, we can get decent airfares if we fly to SXM on American Airlines - then take a one-way flight to Antigua on Liat - and then depart from Antigua to fly back home on American.

Will we have any problem with immigration on St. Maarten if our plans are to stay the first week on SXM? We wouldn't have a round-trip ticket on American (departing from SXM), but we can show our departure on Liat.

Just don't want to run into any hassles. Would appreciate any information.

as long as you have a ticket on LIAT to fly to Antigua, you will not have any problem

About 18 yrs ago during Pres wks we stayed one wk at LaHabitation & one wk at the St. James Club on Antigua. In those DAYS AA 667 first stopped at SXM and then onto Antigue and back into JFK. 95% of tourists got off at SXM and on again for their return back to N.Y.We used Lait or other local carrier into Antigua and made our return from Antigua back into JFK.Remember Antigua is a different style of vacation (HOTEL GROUNDS) with different food and no rental cars everywhere. Our hotel was very nice and had many things but no night life at all.In those DAYS our rates were $600.00 a night MAP.Good luck.
