I waited a little bit to give some time to some member to answer your question, and I know that Norm will do so if he see your post because he is an expert in OBBR info and Oyster Pond area, he was down here last week, but I can give you few regarding restaurant in the area...
I don't think it will be taken the wrong way (since you asked a specific question) if I recommend Captain Oliver's Restaurant since it is the one I know the best for obvious reasons and evidently my favorite... Some details of the menu on my blog if you search it in the "food and gastronomy" label section, or even on [
www.dinesxm.com]. Beside the main restaurant, we also added recently a little kitchen at the Iguana Bar, to take advantage of it magnificent and unique location above water, and to provide a little but very various Tapas Menu, from 5pm to 10pm to people who do't want to have a full meal but something with drinks...
Otherwise we also have another restaurant on the Marina, called Quai Ouest and run by Nadia, which I recommend very highly! Nadia started working for me many many years ago in another restaurant that I owned, and she learned a lot in the kitchen with me... She now has her own place, very quaint, by the water, tastefully decorated, great menu with many special every night since she work basically only out of her charkboard menu that she change very often, affordable prices, a nice little "french" pizza menu beside, and a great personality. It is inside our Resort and Marina.
Beside that, in Oyster Pond, you have a little pizzeria called Mama Pizza, along side the main road, nice terrace over looking the bay, cute and charming, good large pizza and great small diner menu.
Also Le Planteur, above Captain Oliver's Hill, contempory and creole cuisine.
Even though there are a couple of restaurants more than that in the area, basically I only recommend those above, but it is strictly based on personal opinion and taste.
Not too far from Oyster pond, in French Quarter, "Quartier d'Orleans" in French..., you have a great little caribbean local restaurant called "Yvette"... It is not so easy to describe where it is like that, but it is on a side street from the main road, almost across from the Pharmacy. (the best is to pass by day and find it before going back for dinner). Great great local food.
Kind Regards,
Philippe
