verizon cell phones...do they work

Last year we were surprised to have our cell phone work OK ...especially well out of our room at the Towers.

Has the service improved throughout the island??

We'll probably rent one from Sharon anyway just to have a guaranteed contact phone.

Yes, VerizonWireless phones work there just fine. I went last month and dialed (I think it was *611) before I left to activate International roaming. I think it was 1.99 per minute?
No problems at all.
