Hey!

Like your restaurant question earlier in the month this query can produce a thousand answers; none of which are carved in stone or possibly relevant to your visit.

Here's an opinion from one who goes many times a year, doesn't drink or stay on the French side.

Late night clubs, bars, restaurants, gas stations, convenience stores and brothels closing after 1 a.m. may attract not only tourists but those looking for an opportunity to commit theft, deal drugs or just cause trouble. This is true for locations Worldwide.

Dark roads, beaches etc. are better visited in daylight hours.

ATM transactions are best done in busy spots in daytime. Gas up the car in daytime.

Driving late at night long distances is fine but don't stop for anyone, anything or any irregular action from following traffic except lights from a police vehicle.

Plan ahead for outings and try to go with company.

You haven't said where you are staying on Orient and if you let us know other visitors to GOBEACH will add to this response.

ENJOY and Happy Thanksgiving!

Denis
