Invest 94L

It's hurricane season as many of you know. And it looks like things are happening early. I don't usually worry in July but there is a new invest and there is some concern that it might head our way.
They do think it will become Cristobal but where will it head?

You can follow the progress, etc. on these threads.
Hurricane season always means wait, watch, and see.

Hi Barbara...Let's just hope that those sandstorms you've been getting help to keep most of them far, far, away....

Please do not scare me about hurricanes - I have been in 7 and really do not like the sound of pounding nails on roofs.

Wow...that one is very low compared to most. Doesn't look good. Can't think of where it would go other than the your way....I hope the waters will be too cool to strengthen much.

the waters are quite warm now so I don't think that will happen.
I think it will strengthen and maybe quite rapidly.
It's just a question of where it is going to go.

the latest outlook from NHC says:

THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM LOCATED ABOUT 1300 MILES EAST OF THE LESSER
ANTILLES CONTINUES TO SHOW SIGNS OF ORGANIZATION. ALTHOUGH
THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY WITH THIS SYSTEM IS LIMITED AT THE PRESENT
TIME...ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS APPEAR FAVORABLE FOR FURTHER
DEVELOPMENT...AND THIS SYSTEM COULD BECOME A TROPICAL DEPRESSION
LATER TODAY OR TOMORROW AS IT MOVES WEST-NORTHWESTWARD AT 10 TO 15
MPH.

The latest computer models have it going South of us.

still too early to tell though.

NEW UPDATE: smiling smiley

THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY ASSOCIATED WITH AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE
LOCATED ABOUT 770 MILES EAST OF THE WINDWARD ISLANDS HAS BECOME
LESS ORGANIZED DURING THE DAY. THE POTENTIAL FOR A TROPICAL
DEPRESSION TO FORM IS DECREASING SINCE ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS ARE
ONLY MARGINALLY FAVORABLE FOR DEVELOPMENT.

We will take it one storm at the time. St. Maarten work you magic and keep the storms at bay. Just a few more months to go and we will all breath a little easier.

Sylvia
