I am starting a book drive for the kids. Here is the info:

"she says anything educational that helps them with reading in particular. She said some of them are really low in reading.
She also mentioned board games so when they have some free time they can play board games together.The ages of the children by the way are from 4- 12.
I think she has one child who just turned 13."

If you would like to participate please PM me and I will give you the address to ship to in Canada. I will in turn start sending consolidated shipments to I CAN.

Take a look around the house, you may have some books kicking around. Please remember "one mans garbage is another mans treasure"

Thanks for bringing the fundraising effort for I CAN over here. It is such a good organization run by an a absolutely delightful woman who so appreciates all the help she can get.
I have to say that the folks on TTOL have donated generously. Many of those people now post here too and you all know who you are, and how much we appreciate you.

Michael and Lisa (stmartinlovers) have already spearheaded a fund raising for I CAN and this is another event for them.

WoW Things are picking up. I have a had 4 PM's on various boards I posted this on. All with positive results.

Check with your children and grandchildren and tell them about I CAN. The kids will jump all over this.

Hey Michael!

Great effort for those kids!

We are off in Oct. for Halloween etc. and will bring an extra suitcase with the limit in books and reading aids.

I "yard sale" every Fri. and Sat. for eBay biz and pass up loads of this stuff. Not a problem to get a case full by Oct.

Will find out later where to deliver.

Also; is English a 2nd. language for any of the children, Do they need anything in Spanish? Do they have DVD players or computers at the facility?

1. A villa owner in Orient has offered 50.00 for each reservation referral we give him.

2. I have people buying on Amazon and shipping here.

3. Another lady Pm'd me and said her grandaughter was gathering up here old books.

In answer to Denis' question, thee is one child there who is Spanish. the rest are all English speaking.
Thy do not have computers for the children but they do have VCR's and DVD's.

Our kids books are long gone.

However, we will be shipping down many of Bill's science books for the University - which doesn't have a science department!

Also if you click on the button "insert URL" next to the one you use to "insert image URL" you will be able to insert the link. "Insert image URL" is the one with the two little mountain and the sun , and "Insert URL" is on the right next to it with the world map and like a 8 side way at the bottom.
