Pelican Resort Club

We recently traded our time share in Orlando for one in Sint Maarten. We got a week in April in unit B106. Can anyone tell me which building that is on site? Does it face beach or pool?
Also, has anyone had experience renting a car from the resort rather than a business such as St. Louis Car Rental?
Any comments about the resort itself from recent vacationers would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Kim, I like the b building I'm not sure if that unit faces the pool or the ocean, but you should enjoy it. We rent from Marius . Renting at the airport or the hotel will be fine. There are lots of good restaurants near-by, but if you can get to grand case, you will enjoy some great french cuisine, and don't miss orient beach. We spend our entire vacation on that beach. Have a great trip!

Kim,

We, too, are going to the Pelican Resort, in April for the first time. We will be in B building on the 5th floor. Our week is April 7th, how about you? I have gained alot of great information of this site and am looking forward to our visit.

Just returned from my honeymoon at the Pelican. We were in B368 which faced the pool and the beach and the airport!! We were near the end of the building but you should be able to see both from anywhere in the building. The higher floors will be able to see over the building in front. You should have a great time! Try the village bakery for a good start to the day. We rented a "jimmy" from American/Adventure/Safari car rental for $180/wk. They are three separate booths but all the same cars and location. Talk to Derrick. The car was new (less than 5000km) covertible jeep roof and ac. I think you will like the Pelican as they are remodeling most of the rooms. Ours was brand new and while it wasn't the color of choice(dark 1970s green), it was clean and in good condition. Be careful at the casino as we left several 'donations'. Have a great trip!!

Pat,

Congradulations, I hope you had a lovely honey moon, I will be going with my fiance in Dec. Can you tell me a little bit more about the resort. Where do you reccommend shopping and dining out?

My wife and I have rented unit B368 for the week of December 14th this year. We thought about asking another couple come with us but we are not sure about the bathroom. Is it outside of the bedroom accessible to either couple?

Thanks.

Pelican Info

Kal's site [www.bywindkal.com] pictures of rooms and reno info.

B106 is in the Beaumontia bldg facing the parking lot
B368 is in the Bougainvillea upper facing the tennis court.

I had the right to remain silent...but I didn't.

To answer the recent question. If B368 is a 1 bedroom then the bathroom should be outside the bedroom but it will have 1 door that opens to the bedroom and another door that opens to the hallway that leads to the kitchen and living area. Both doors lock from the inside. The user just has to remember to unlock both when leaving.
