Hey!

Like that old airport better, and the DC-3.

This was shot from the TNCM control tower on Labour Day weekend 2006. The terminal opened ( officially) Nov. 11th. At this point the jetways were inactive.

You're welcome to right click and use as a background.

The PRINCESS certainly has come a long way!

What a memory---and look at the big plane!
I was there in the 70's in my lovely tropical minidress ( I may have even carried gloves--LOL)
But you should have seen some of the tiny puddle-jumpers we took to travel around the islands by air---yow---and people were always walking onto propellers as well.

My first memory of Caribe Air and Prinair was in PR when you and your luggage had to stand on the scale to see how much you weighed.

Barbara,I loved that airport before the 82/83 addition was added on the right side.Remember the steel band that used to play for arriving tourists on the runway side.
