where to stay with a 3 years old kid?

Hi,

we are planning to go to St.marteen for one week late april/early may.
We have a 3 years old baby boy.
Can anyone suggest a nice/cosy/ full-options (4 crowns?) place for family (no hotel .. kind of one badroom apt)?
Possibly next to ..everything might be needed (supermarkets, resturants, nice beaches)?
Grazie,

Hi,

We have fully equipped one bedroom apt for rent at The Cliff luxury resort (stroller and crib available for use). 24 Hour security with gym, indoor lap pool, outside pool, jaccuzi, spa, tennis court and more. The complex is on the beach at Cupecoy, walking distance to Mullet Bay with many restaurants, supermarket and casino across the street. Please contact Bob or Cherise at 599 5452770.

If I had young children - I think I would stay at Divi. Great for families. Wonderful beach.

Excellent suggestion of Divi but best done if you can get a timeshare unit and make sure its not a hotel room.

Hi,

We vacationed at The Cliff in January with 2 small kids. Excellent!! I truly recommend this resort to all. Great facilities.

The Cliff is the LAST place I'd take kids. Who want's a high rise with no beach when you can get a great resort with a beautiful beach and lots of kids around to play with.

The Cliff may be beautiful (to some), but it sure is not a great place for kids to run and play!

Elaine - I totallyl agree with you, something like Royal Islander, Royal Palm, Flamingo even Pelican would be great with kids. Can you imagine strolling with kids over to the Atlantis property??? NOT, or walking to Mullet with kids??? that road can be dangerous to say the least. And I would not call the little market across the street a Supermarket???hmm

Elaine and Kim,

I'm right there with you and this from someone who did bring her kids (although older than this...) and still enjoys the pleasures of enjoying her grands almost every year on the island.

Think about it - the "Cliffs" for a busy three year old little boy?

Sounds to me like Divi or Royal Islander would be far more appropriate.

Respectfully,

pat
:-) :-)

Our friends own at the Flamingo and take their son who is 4. They really like the beach there for him.

Good luck.

Hi Vicky,
I think you are right on with this one...
R.Legoubey (who first posted about The Cliff) is also knows as Rola Legoubey and she is the daughter in law of late Mr Jean Legoubey, developper/owner of The Cliff who just passed away on Thursday...
May be her middle name is "Diane"...LOL winking smiley
Anyhow, both of their email address originated in sxm...one is @wanadoo.fr and is the one of the jewelry Passion that the Legoubey familly own, and the otherone is @caribserve.net... Interesting how sxm residents vaccation at the cliff don't you think?

Kind Regards,
Philippe

We stay at the Royal Palm every year with another couple that now has a 4 year old daughter. Perfect family place for people with children. At that young age most children much prefer the pool over the ocean. Now that she is a little older, this year she made new best friends for the week. We also stayed at the Pelican for a few days before moving into the RP and they had a great kiddie pool with a small playground.
