Here is my typical response to people interested in the Towers: if you have any questions, feel free to ask
"The Towers at Mullet Bay, is in my opinion the best timeshare on the island, but I am biased since I own 2 weeks there! We have toured almost all of them and still prefer the location and layout of the Towers. It’s quiet, but close enough to all the action that you are not missing anything! It is a nine story “tower” consisting of 81 units. Studios, one, and two bedroom units, and on the 8/9 floor you have the penthouse units, which are 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms and include daily maid service. Each unit has a full kitchen, TV, VCR, boom box, and at least one full bathroom. The higher up in the building, the better the view. There are two elevators that service the building. The building sits on the edge of the now defunct Mullet Bay Resort and Casino, along the golf course which is operational. Some of the rooms overlook the medical school, lagoon, golf course, or ocean views (higher up the better). There are some rooms that are less desirable, because if you are not high up, you are over the lobby/parking area. The pool is wonderful. It sits right on the lagoon, so you tend to get nice breezes. There is a bar there that serves light sandwiches. You get your towels for the pool and ocean at the pool also. The Mullet Bay Beach is a very short walk down the main driveway, or you can drive to a parking area. As a Towers guest you a given free use of beach chairs, they are located by the only remaining bathhouse on the beach. You can rent umbrellas from either of the two food vendors on the beach, or bring your own. The golf course is not the best, but it is the only one on the island, so if want to play its there, no need for tee time, and you do get some sort of discount as a Towers guest. There is an activity desk in the lobby, and you can also inquire about re-sales from the same person. If you have more specific questions or know your room number, feel free to ask.
The walk to the beach is maybe 5-10 minutes max, but you should have a car to enjoy the area. The Atlantis Casino complex is booming, but please do not walk to it at night. As is the Maho complex, all within minutes away. The resort is about 12 -13 years old now. But still kept up pretty good. The pool is a major issue now as it needs to be repainted, but still is very nice.
Do you know what room they assigned you? I know it’s not a guarantee, but I can probably find you views from your room. It is quiet at night, but with Atlantis and Maho within minutes. Not sure if there still is a shuttle running, just ask at the desk. They will take a deposit on your card for incidentals. Before you go nuts over your bill, they charge you $50.00 or $25.00 a towel if you don’t return them that day. But no big deal, just get the receipt from James at the pool and bring to the desk, and they credit it back. "
