St. Helena

Designed by the late Oliver Messel, St. Helena offers guest a unique feeling of the “Old Colonial Style” of living in Barbados. Recently renovated by the local renowned architect Michael Carrington, this beautiful beach house is tastefully and comfortably furnished with everything you should need to make you feel right at home.

The lower level of the property features one large open plan sitting room that leads on to a covered dining patio overlooking the garden towards the sea. You will also find two air-conditioned bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, an al fresco dining area with a pool deck and bar and entertaining area. The pool deck is partly covered and features fountains carved from the Island natural coral stone.

On the upper level you will find three tastefully furnished bedrooms as well as a sitting room/office called the Napoleon Room. The bedrooms lead onto a circular verandah with a bar, where you can sit and watch the ocean while relaxing in the lounge chairs.

The ocean in front of St. Helena offers excellent swimming, and if the weather conditions permit, we will put out the 'raft' and you can swim out and relax or sunbathe to your heart's content. There is also has a small boat, a 'Fletcher', and guest at St. Helena are offered (1) one hour free water sports each day.

The cottage offers three additional bedrooms, two upstairs and one downstairs. There is also a sitting room, kitchen facilities, TV and a large patio overlooking the pool.
