The Carib House is a luxurious Caribbean colonial style villa located on the south coast of Antigua, close to the entrance of Falmouth Harbour and only 5 minutes off the main road. The villa is built 60' above sea level and is positioned to take advantage of the cooling Caribbean Sea breezes. The house has fantastic views over Falmouth Harbour and the Caribbean Sea and on a clear day you can see the nearby islands of Guadalupe and Montserrat. The nearest beach is only a two minute walk and there are boating marinas available within 10 minutes. A long, gravel driveway leads up to the grand entrance of the villa. A door opens to a huge entrance hallway, an oasis filled with plants. The use of Trinidadian Mahogany and polished local limestone gives a very warm feeling to the home. All of the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The interiors feature Italian Terracotta and limestone floors and neutral tones. The sitting room has an open plan and the dining area has comfortable seating for 10 and an Indonesian teak dinning table that overlooks the pool and offers fabulous views of the Caribbean Sea and Falmouth Harbour.

The open plan kitchen area comprises stunning polished mahogany work surfaces, a central island with 4 burner stove, stainless steel range and dishwasher. There is also an adjoining utility room. An American full size oak pool table may be covered to form a tennis table or a dining table that can seat up to 16 guests comfortably. The villa offers outdoor speakers in the gazebo, sitting room and game room. The villa offers a total of five spacious bedrooms, all screened and with ceiling fans. The Master bedroom has a king sized oak bed, mahogany nightstands, sitting area. The master suite offers an en-suite bathroom with a natural stone double width shower. Double doors open to a private balcony. A winding stone path and steps lead to the separate cottage that offers stunning views across the swimming pool and the Caribbean Sea. Fully screened, it offers a wrought iron king sized four poster bed and en-suite bath as well as wrap around verandah with comfortable chairs.

A stone staircase leads down to the completely separate garden apartment. It has a covered sitting/dining area, bedroom with wrought iron queen sized bed, ceiling fans and en-suite bath. The apartment has a kitchen as well. The fourth bedroom has twin beds (which may be put together to form a king) and ceiling fan. This bedroom does not have an en-suite bath but shares a bathroom with the fifth bedroom. A second sitting area offers over 500 square feet under a pentagonal roof featuring two large Indonesian bamboo sofas, wrought iron arm chairs, terrace and glass topped table perfect for alfresco dining. The private swimming pool is surrounded by a natural stone patio and offers approximately 2000 square feet of outdoor living area. Tucked away is an outdoor shower that is discreetly screened with plants. Sun lounges and a large umbrella complete the setting.
